A Specialist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and Implantologist with more than 13 years of experience, Dr. Shyam completed his graduation from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India and further pursued his Masters in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He has been mentored by Dr. Shankar Iyer DDS, who is a pioneer in the field of dental implantology. He holds additional certifications in Zygomatic Implants, All-on-4 Same Day Implant Rehabilitation, and has an Associate Fellowship credential from American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).
With a special interest in dental implantology, he has extensive experience in handling most of the well-known implant systems in the market today. His passion towards the subject keeps him updated on every new research and technological update the field has to offer.
Dr. Shyam has mastered the use of surgical guides to 3D plan dental implant surgeries and the use of specially calibrated scanners to be able to provide teeth on implants without using traditional impression materials. The accuracy of these new techniques helps in reducing overall treatment time, pain and discomfort.
Dr. Shyam is also a Clinical Teaching Faculty in the AAID Maxicourse UAE, which is one of the few courses around the world teaching comprehensive dental implantology to registered dental practitioners.
Dr. Shyam has attended several dental conferences, seminars and workshops around the world. He is an active member of the American Academy of Implant (AAID) and the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of India (AOMSI).
He speaks English, Arabic, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
